Roxanne has successfully used her creative talents in a variety of fields, including vocal coaching, songwriting, mentoring, poetry and children’s stories.
She is the creator, artistic director and co-songwriter for the Busy Izzy and Friends project, which currently boasts over 50 songs and video clips, health-living road shows, picture books featuring healthy recipes. And a brand-new show “Busy Izzy and Friends meet the Three Little Pigs – The Musical” – a Fractured Fairy Tale, appearing in venues around Sydney. The song catalogue is on ABCKIDS Listen.
The songs and music videos from the Busy Izzy and Friends catalogue are all co-written and produced with Stephen Kiely, many have won national songwriting awards.
There are three picture books in the series published and the fourth in the series is due for release this year.
Writing songs, stories and poetry from the age of seven. Roxanne toured Australia, New Zealand, UK and the West Coast of the USA as a singer-songwriter and performed lead roles in pantomimes for Warner Bros Australia for five years. She released three albums of original music, had songs featured on international television programs and, more recently, on a popular ABC compilation.
Roxanne's artistic practice focuses on nurturing emerging Australian talent and strongly emphasises mentoring and developing the talents of younger artists.
This artistic practice seeks to develop the capacity of individual artists and the sector and connect local talent with opportunities to participate and gain artistic experience.
Roxanne's talents in developing and mentoring young artists is evidenced through the success of the stellar list of students she has developed including Delta Goodrem, Kelsi Boyden, Marlisa, Bec Hewitt, Ella Hooper, Ivy Adara, Hayley Warner, Nick de la Hoyde, and Natalie Bassingthwaighte, to name a few.

Roxanne, is the co-founder and President of Songsalive! Australia, a not-for-profit songwriting organisation which support Australian songwriters via workshops, performance showcases, weekend songwriter retreats as well as a resourceful website.
Since 1997, she has voluntarily worked to improve conditions for Australian songwriters.
As passionate as she is about all her activities, there is a special place in her heart for children and children’s stories that promote healthy living, friendship, kindness and fun, which is why she has created the Busy Izzy and Friends series.
