Celebrating International Women’s Day

Celebrating International Women’s Day

Families gathered in beautiful Vaucluse on March 8th to celebrate International Women's Day with a lively performance of “Move & Groove with Busy Izzy and Friends.” Presented as part of the community celebrations hosted by Woollahra Council, the event was a joyful and energetic success.

Children and families joined in the fun from the very first song, clapping, dancing and singing along as Busy Izzy and her friends, Talkative Tess and Bossy Bobby, brought music, movement and storytelling to life. The highlight of the show was the theme “You Can Be a Hero,” featuring a brand-new original song that quickly became a favourite with the young audience. The children absolutely loved it, enthusiastically joining in with the actions and singing along.

Move & Groove with Busy Izzy and Friends encourages children to express themselves through music and movement while sharing positive messages about confidence, kindness and teamwork. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, dancing and big smiles as families enjoyed the interactive performance together.

It was a wonderful way to celebrate community, creativity and the inspiring spirit of International Women's Day. A big thank you to Woollahra Council for including Busy Izzy and Friends in such a special day for local families.

The response from the children said it all, everyone left feeling happy, energised and ready to be a hero! 🌟
